(below) Photo is a portable repeater setup on "Storm Mountain" (almost 10,000 ft) in August of 2008.

It was for the Tour de Cure bicycle event in Longmont, Loveland & Estes Park, Colorado.

Icom 706 MKIIG, (pelican case carry on size) hooked up to the massive cart batts.

Custom cut 20 meter dipole between palm trees.

TI2/NØWAR worked around 20-30  countries in just a few days on 100 watts.

last day we stayed in san jose and stayed right across from huge city park.

it so happened they had a huge festival, parade, etc. that they do once a year.

My HF station: all band dublet dipole, dx 4:1 balun, ldg at-200 pro, Icom 706MKIIG. Getting my old tower back up soon.

Elevation at our ham station is 8,000 feet (aprox) We live just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park.

I also enjoy VHF/UHF on the local repeaters. Awesome group of hams up here in Northern Colorado.
