No equipment, minimal activity until college years, when I got active with the help of other college hams - N1DAS & my boss KA1EDY. Today, I have diverse interests in radio, of course, boating & RV when I can (both include RF) and keeping up with the requirements of homeownership & maintenance. I'm also an officer on our town volunteer fire department. I work as a dispatcher full time, and at the local candy store part time. Station tower is recycled from other stations all taken down and rebuilt by me, alone, with a gin pole & lots of patience. It is 68 feet of Rohn 25 guyed upper & lower with one eaves bracket, Moseley CL33 tribander on Yaesu 800SA rotator, Diamond X500HN (both on a 23 foot mast) which provides pretty good V/U coverage - all 6 New England States (+/- CT !!). Running Kenwood TS480HX and LDG AT200 Pro or MFJ 949 tuners. IC7000 Mobile (F-350 6.0 diesel QRO!!) phone & digital & D-Star using ID 800 & IC91AD. Retired president of Saddleback Repeater Association 147.000 and currently on Port City ARC www.w1wqm.org. Memorable radio moments?
