Retired Navy Electronics Technician Chief. My wife, Brenda, is also a ham (N1ZPV). We have grown 2 children, and an adorable granddaughter that lives with us.

Thoroughly enjoy ham radio and try to experience as many aspects of the hobby as possible. Interests include emergency communications/public service, NTS, packet radio, psk-31/63 and other digital modes, QRP, satellite, HF & VHF all modes, and especially CW. My CW speed is pretty slow, so have mercy please!

Equipment includes Kenwood TS-480HX, Elecraft KX3, Yaesu FT-920 (presently on the sick list), FT-857D, FT-817.

Antennas include Cushcraft A3S Yagi, and assortment of dipoles and verticals.

Have 80 acres here in rural Maine, so can have lots of fun experimenting with long wire antennas.
