Originally licensed in 1978 as WD4NQX, I upgraded later that year to General and was issued the call N4AZI. Made it to Advanced in 1979, failed the Extra class theory test twice before finally passing in 1980.

I've been active in public service, ARES, NTS and was SEC Virginia years back. Always have been excited by CW, weak signal VHF/UHF operation, Meteor Scatter, satellite communications and contesting. Who knows we may have worked from Buffalo Mtn., Virginia. Moved  to Baton Rouge, LA in 1981 but kept the 4 call.

I'm a Systems Consultant/Developer/DBA and have always been interested in computers as applied to the Amateur Radio hobby and communications in general. My primary focus is developing web based applications.

Traded in N4AZI for N1PC in 1998. Currently my main areas of activity are DXing and Contests.

Finally back in VA and have some real estate for antennas.

73,

Dave, N1PC
