Thomas Qualtieri (Tom) was first licensed as WB1GMA in 1978 as a member of the Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical School Amateur Radio Club in Canton Ma. His Elmer's were Frank W1YTB, Len WY1B. He holds an Amateur Extra license. He is a former Vice-President of the Norwood (MA) Amateur Radio Club www.norwood-arc.org and a past Board of Directors Member with the MMRA www.mmra.org .
Tom's Novice Station in Westwood Ma consisted of an EICO 720 and Hallicrafters S38D on 40/15 meters. Working for Heathkit Electronics in Wellesley, MA. Tom upgrade to a Heath SB101 and later SS9000 Transceivers. Tom would much rather use a keyer than a microphone. And Loves restoring and using BoatAnchors.Vintage stations includes HEATHKIT SB303/HG10/DX60/SB101/HR1680/HX1681, Drake 2B/2C/R4C/T4XC.
Toms current HF-UHF station located in Douglas MA is an Yaesu FT-950 with 2 OCF dipoles N-S 266' E-W 133' Heathkits SB-1000. Tom is also active on 50/144/222/432/902/1296/2304 A50-5 DS144-12 HB 222-12 M2 432-18 ICOM 746pro DEMI-144/222/432/902/1296/2304 transverters

Tom serves as a ARRL Volunteer Examiner with the Norwood-ARC, and is a Storage Support Analyst with EMC Corp in Hopkinton MA.
