First ticket 1976 as WA2JKO. Captain of Fire Dept. with 30 years of service , now retired from the fire service.  Drive school bus for something to do now.  Great job with all the school holidays and summers off.  XLY of 30 years has no interest in radio, but is very supportive of my hobby.  Three kids all out of house now so maybe redoing one of bedrooms into new shack.

Been active in radio communications from an early age, work with boy scouts and merit badge counselor for radio merit badge.

Experimenting with wire antennas and vertical antenna designs.

Active on 40, 20, 17, 15 10 meter bands.

Antenna is either Home-brew windom,  home-brew 20 m rotatable dipole,

20 m vertical, 17m vertical or S-9 vertical.

Had the thrill of a lifetime, operated W1AW on 20 m. for about 1 hour 7/30/09.
