Hello and thanks for stopping by....

I'd like to invite you to stop by my web site to check out some of my other interests. I'm a ham married to a ham, Connie (N2ATJ). I'm into aviation (private pilot), computers, ORACLE, AMSAT Life Member, AOPA, QRP, photography, traffic handling, public service communications, and Life Member of the ARRL, the national association for amateur radio. Among the nifty features on my web site are lists of famous people who are (or were) hams, and a pretty complete list of all the astronauts and cosmonauts with amateur radio licenses. See

http://users.tellurian.com/gjurrens/famous_hams.html or http://famoushams.org

Stan Horzepa, WA1LOU, wrote a nice article about my web site in his ARRL feature "Surfin'":

My photo galleries can be accessed at:  http://www.gjurrens.com

I am a member of all the afore-mentioned organizations, plus the David Sarnoff Radio Club (N2RE) Princeton, NJ http://www.n2re.org ; the Delaware Valley Radio Association (W2ZQ) West Trenton, NJ http://www.w2zq.com ; the Raritan Valley Radio Club, one of the oldest continuous radio clubs in the nation (W2QW) http://www.w2qw.org ; the New Jersey QRP group (www.njqrp.org) and the Princeton Emergency Radio Club (N2ARC) http://www.gjurrens.com/oragallery/N2ARC .  I serve as the communications liaison to the American Red Cross of Central New Jersey in Princeton, NJ, the lead chapter for disaster services in the state. I'm active with Mercer County ARES (Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator in SNJ) and RACES. I'm also the Net Manager for the New Jersey Morning Net, a member of the National Traffic System. It meets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10AM Eastern time on 3.544 MHz.

I am a graduate of Rutgers College (at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey), with a Masters Degree from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College Graduate School). I am a Certified Technical Trainer working for Oracle University as a regional education manager for Business Intelligence/Integration/Hyperion/OBI EE in the Southeast US.

I can be followed on Twitter, and on Facebook.  Look for me on 146.625 MHz (pl 141.3) most weekday mornings from 6:30 to 8:00 AM and after 5 PM.  The repeater is also linked through IRLP.  Our node is 4777.

Member SKCC #5906 ARCI #11256 and NAQCC #3437.

73, and see you on the ham bands!
