The NCC1701A Radio Club was established in December 1998.Its' basic purpose is to share and enjoy the excitement of Amateur Radio....to boldly go where no RF has gone before!

The first club activity was the CQWW 160M contest held on the weekend of January 28 through 30,2000.The club members for this event were:W2RE,AB2BK,KC2CMA,N1NY and N2IX.Band conditions were very good and everyone had an exciting time contributing their time and efforts. Our final score for this Multi -Single category was 86,242.

The next club activity took place the weekend of February 17 to 18,2001 for the ARRL DX CW contest. The club members for this wonderful event were:W2RE,N2IW,N1NY,K2XR and N2IX.It was a very exciting and challenging contest for us and the favorable band conditions kept all of us very busy in our Multi-Single effort. Our final score was 4,645,998.

In November 2002, the club particpated in the ARRL CW Sweepstakes.AA2DY,W2RE and W2IX operated for a total of 18 hours and as a Multi-Op effort,the club was able to achieve 1st place in the Multi-OP Hudson Division category which produced the clubs' very first Division Plaque from the ARRL.Our final score was 139,520.
