Welcome to the Cereal Capital of the world.. Battle Creek is the home of both Kellogg and Post.

Pictured is my AM Station with my http://k7dyy.com Super Senior 80/160m AM transmitter. AM is my mode of choice.  It's full carrier all the way baby! This is the almost current configuration of my AM station that I'm still having trouble using. sad

I've devised a temporary antenna I can throw up and tear down on a whim, but it doesn't work well for transmit. Partly a tuning issue as well as the low SSB/CW power rating of the antenna. The antenna is rated at 250w SSB, so I can only run 40w carrier into the antenna, I wouldn't  run more out of RFI concerns anyway. According to my peak reading watt meter and the dummy load 40w carrier for this class D transmitter is still over 100w PEP. It's a simple 75m Hamstick dipole on the end of a 36" bar clamp that I can clamp to my railing. Nothing impressive but at least I can listen to some of the AM powerhouses on 75m. It's just a shame I can't join them yet. I've got the legal limit rig without the facilities to use it.
