Click for more detail... I am Robert Spencer (Robbie). Originally licensed as an amatuer technician on 4/19/96, with the callsign KF4IUZ. After a few years I finally caught the hf bug and decided to study for my general class written and the morse code element. I was licensed as a general class operator on 9/20/01. My station setup includes: Yaesu FT-920 for hf and 6 meter, Yaesu FT-900 as hf mobile, Icom IC-207H dual bander for mobile, Icom IC03AT 220 mhz ht, Realistic DX-100 receiver, Realistic DX-302 receiver, Radio Shack DX-402 portable receiver. My primary hf antenna is a G5RV at about 30 feet. My antenna for 6 meters is the Diamond 2-element beam. I use a Maxrad dual bander antenna permanently mounted on my vehicle. I am using a Comet GP-6 2 meter 440 base antenna at 40 feet. I enjoy 2 meter 440 ragchews as well as the occasinal band opening DX. I also am an avid DX chaser on most of the hf bands, using voice and psk-31. My digital interface is a hombrew cable specifically for the radio and is made by KD4NMI. I use a handfull of Hamsticks for hf mobile. I have finally upgraded to extra! Since February of 2008, I have become disabled due to a stroke. That leaves a lot of time for ham radio. I am very active on six meters now. I am a member of JARS (Johnston Amatuer Radio Society), Old Goat Net #98, Possum Trot Net #2582. Can be found on 147.270 AK4H repeater most of the time. Also work 20 meters a lot during the daytime and can be found on 3.933 the Black Sheep Lounge late at night. QSL DIRECT, EQSL.CC, OR LOTW. WILL MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT TO QSL BACK TO EACH CONTACT...Thanx for reading. 73's. Enjoy ham radio!
