I operate CW, SSB, RTTY and other digital modes on 160 through 6M. My DXCC all-time confirmed country totals are 346 MIXED, 344 CW, 329 PHONE and 305 DIGITAL modes.  I have 5BDXCC No. 5,803, plus DXCC endorsements for 160M, 30M, 17M and 12M -- and 59 countries confirmed on 6M.  I have 2,591 band/countries confirmed for the DXCC Challenge, and I am a member of the the ARRL DXCC Honor Roll -- for both Mixed and CW.  I received the Triple Play Worked All States Award #204.

My station consists of the Elecraft K Line -- two K3 transceivers, two P3 Panadaptors, a KPA500 amplifier and a KAT500 antenna tuner. I also have an Alpha 9500 amplifier. Antennas include a Mosley TA-63N six band yagi on a 55 foot crank-up tower, verticals for 80M, 40M and 30M and an Inverted L for 160M. I use DX4WIN and N1MM Logger Plus for logging, and an MDS RC-1 for automated rotor control. For SO2R operation and remote antenna switching, I use a Top Ten Devices two radio controller, band decoder and A/B Station Selector.

DX Operations

I operated from Aruba using the call P4/N4QS from May 26 through June 2, 2015.  Activity was on 160 to 10 meters using CW, SSB and various digital modes including the CQ WPX CW contest.

I operated briefly from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates using the call A6/N4QS from November 21-22, 2014. It was a part-time, holiday style operation.  I was also part of the Voo Doo contest team at 9K2HN for the 2014 CQ WW CW contest.  

Prior operations inlcude: The Cayman Islands as ZF2DP from February 8 - 11, 2013 including the CQ WPX RTTY contest. Belize using the call V31QS in April 2010 and November 2011.

I was first licensed in 1967 at the age of 13 as WN3HOM (see photo below).
