I'm new to the Albuquerque, NM area and hoping to get involved in the local amateur radio scene. I am interested in getting involved more with public services.

This is a great hobby. I would heartly recommend it to anyone who is interested in hands-on tech and meeting new folks. I very seldom meet a ham I don't like. They are all great folks, willing to listen, learn, and share what they know.
