I'm an original petitioner in the FCC Rulemaking that established 47 CFR § 97.205(g), which serves to protect the interests of repeater owners. 

Over the years I have been successful securing passage of Federal policy on electronic communications, and with State Legislation in Texas.  I have organized efforts to oppose special interest BPL legislation at the state level, and to protect licensed users of spectrum from BPL interference. I worked to establish the Texas PRB-1 Law, and to change State Law to reinstate participation of amateur radio in the public schools. 

For HF bands, I own a Flex 5000a, which is made in Austin, Texas.  In August, 2008 I suggested to the President of Flex that he donate a 5000a to W1AW.  Click here:
