I was first licensed in Jan 1960. My father was W6LLA from 1934. I am a member of the Northern California DX Club, the Mother Lode DX & Contest Club and the Tube Collectors Association.
The main transceiver is an ICOM IC-756 PRO III. Separate single band amplifiers have been built and occupy 4 relay racks. Most amplifiers are push pull, grounded grid and inductively tuned pairs of 3-500Z or 4-400A tubes. The 6 meter amplifier is shown below.
I maintain a transmitting tube museum on my web page. It is searchable and has over 1200 transmitting tubes displayed. The collection has some of the oldest and largest tubes made.
I have confirmed all DXCC countries with a total of 360 and a DXCC Challenge total of over 2750. I have confirmed DXCC on 9 bands and 5 Band WAZ. I have confirmed all states and continents on 10 bands, 160 through 6 meters. I am on the WPX Honor Roll for CW with over 4350 prefixs confirmed. I chase IOTA on CW and have confirmed 900 island groups. My VUCC for 6 meters is over 725 and I have 10 Ghz VUCC with 15 grids confirmed.
