Located in Brentwood, CA - in the Sacramento / San Joaquin delta area, east of San Francisco (not the Brentwood associated with OJ Simpson!).

Licensed in 2007 as KI6HNF, but immediately applied for vanity call K6IAM, which I used for a while, but it was too confusing (close to "Ian", which is close to "Iain"), so N6ML since December 2008.

Enjoy "chasing DX" on HF with modest antennas (wires and a Hustler 6-BTV), Elecraft K3 and Heathkit SB-200 from home, and from a nearby remote base, and contesting from the bigger stations (mostly N6RO) via the Northern California Contest Club. I use the name "Mike" in contests, to avoid confusion, fills and busted Qs. Also look for WQ6O in major RTTY contests.

QSL via LoTW much prefered - I usually upload same day, or the day after a contest. Also upload to eQSL.CC. If you need confirmation in LoTW or eQSL and it's not showing, drop me an email.

QSL direct or via bureau OK too. For contest QSOs, please include return postage if direct - I get quite a lot of requests after major contests. For casual contacts, return postage not necessary, but appreciated. $1 is sufficient for return postage to most countries. Responses through the bureau are likely to take some time.
