Update to the info below. Well, I took a 10 year hiatus from Ham Radio when the shack became a nursery for our first son Joey III. Then came along my son Jonathan, and with 2 boys, life became "busy" to say the least. I just got back on the air (Mid February of 2012), so I'll update the page as soon as I can. My emails is now Joe Aht AirTanksForSale Daht com. Here are some older pictures of my 2 boys, Jonathan on the left, and Joey III on the right.
That is Joey III the right holding the fish. He cast and reeled in the fish all by himself! I don't know who was prouder, me or Joey III
Hi, My name is Joe and my wife is Tena. Tena is my best friend on earth. She is a wonderful and loving wife and also let me put up a KLM model KT-34A, 4 element tri-band antenna on a 60' crank up tower. My base radio is an Icom IC-775DSP. This combination works very well for me and I have been blessed with many contacts with this set-up (both DX & local). I also have an Icom IC-746 that I'll occasionally fire up to use with my Henry 2K-4 amplifier. I rarely use the amplifier, but it is nice to have when needed. For mobile use I have an ICOM IC-706 and a Yaesu FT-847 radio, with an SG-303 Whip and SG-231 antenna coupler which has provided QSO's to Argentina & South Africa. With this combination I can cover from 160-6M My mom is a HAM also, N3SA! She lives in Pennsylvania. I've included a picture of my wonderful and loving wife Tena (right), my mom N3SA (left) and me (center), . Mom outclasses me, I am an Advanced, She's an Extra Class. That's only fair since she's Extra classy and the best mom in the world! To the right of our picture is the newest member of our family "Simon of Cyrene". He is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever (An 85 lb. puppy at that), but more like our son! If you bring a tennis ball to him, you have made a friend for life. He has blessed us with a lot of joy. (Edit Feb-2013 Simon lived a full life, now we have 2 sons) I enjoy offroading in my 1946 Willys Jeep. I call him Willy. (Go to http://www.hamcontact.com/jeep to see it. I've done a LOT to it as these pictures will show). I also have a 1937 Buick Century with a over-head straight 8 that I like to drive. In addition I also like target shooting (pistol, rifle, pellet and shotgun). I also enjoy bible studies at our church, and at home fellowships. If you enjoyed your QSO with me, I would appreciate an e-mail detailing some of your hobbies, occupation, etc. I'm can sometimes be found at 28.4 USB, 29.6 FM or sometimes 14.20 MHz. Give me a call, or drop and e-mail and we can set up a sched! 73 and Blessings de N6YYO < Rev: N6YYO - Sat May 22 14:42:24 1999 Last modified: 2013-02-24 23:39:21, 3062 bytes fetched
