The Horned Toad Acres Wireless Association club station was created to provide new hams the exposure to various ham radio contesting activities. The group participates in the annual ARRL VHF QSO parties, ARRL Field Day and various 160 meter contests.

The club received ARRL affiliation in 2001.

The club also supports VHF and UHF repeater stations in the Clay Springs, Arizona area (DM44ui). Presently the two repeaters are 224.940 MHz -1.6 MHz w/ 156.7 Hz CTCSS and 442.800 MHz + 5 MHz w/ 100 Hz CTCSS. The antennas for these systems are located near the top of the 140 foot, 160 Meter Vertical antenna.

Our club station location is : DM44ui - in the White Mountains of Eastern Arizona.
