Hello and welcome to my QRZ Page,

My name is Dan, I first got started in radios with the 11 meter CB band and SW receivers at age 12. I received my first HT for Christmas a Radio Shack Pro-41 scanning receiver which I still have today. I have been licensed since March 2005 as KD8BER, I received my current vanity call a few months later. Everything about Ham radio is self taught no Elmers learned everything on my own either from reading or experimenting. I enjoy Ham radio alot and have met many great friends on the air. Upgraded to General Class April 18, 2009 and my wife N8CMC (also a vanity call) received her Technician Class that same day. Other hobby's include spending time with my 2 boys ages 4 years and 7 years old, NASCAR, Late Model dirt track racing, sprint cars, traveling, outdoors, bird watching, Steam Engines, Railfanning, music, and FTA Satellite
