Age: 59 First licensed in 1967 as a novice class operator (WN8WWR). "Upgraded" to Technician in 1968 (WB8CEZ). Technician license expired in 1973. Remained inactive until 1988 when I obtained a General Class license with my current callsign, N8KBG. Upgraded to Advanced in 1990, Amateur Extra in 2008. Main HF rig is an Icom IC-735 which I use as my QRP rig. I usually run it at about 3-4 watts output to a G5RV antenna, but I will run QRO as necessary. I enjoy operating PSK-31 and other digital modes, but my favorite is good old CW. My QTH is 12 miles south of the old Heathkit Company. The only Heathkits in my shack presently are an HR-1680 receiver, and a HW-29A Sixer that I built in 1969. I am President of our local radio club, the Blossomland Amateur Radio Association. Please check out our web site: www.blossomlandara.org 73/72 and hope we can meet on the air some time. Ron, N8KBG Last modified: 2011-01-21 21:58:44, 970 bytes fetched
