Have always been interested in electronics and radio, starting at a early age repairing, collecting them. In high school formed a radio club getting our school on the air with a Drake 6&2 setup. The neighbors always knew when we had our station up as we disrupted their signals.

As time went on, work, family and school taking priority with radio falling by the side and didn't pick back up until 1991 when a friend and I took the Novice course given by the DARA group. The fuse was started and elevating through Tech plus, General, Advance and finally Extra.

I retired from a paper mill in February 2012 holding various positions over the years, Project Engineer, Plant Engineer, Plant Manager and retiring as Site Engineer. Now I can focus on radio.

Enjoy Dxing and contest.

Been married 47 years to my Wife Joana, resulting in three children.

Station consists of:

Pegasus Ten-Tec (use 90% of time)

Yaesu 767

Kenwood TS50

Yaesu 2M FT-1900

Fan dipole and G5 wires - advantage of tall trees in back

Hustler vertical 80-10m

2m/440 workman
