I’ve been a licensed radio amateur since 1991 originally as KD6DYE and later as N9VPX.

I enjoy most modes of communications and various digital modes in my spare time. Please feel free to QSL direct if you wish. I’ve been a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Disaster Communications Service (DCS) and Los Angeles Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). I’ve also volunteered on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.

In my working career I’ve been a Military Police Officer & Ohio Deputy Sheriff, a Quality Assurance Technician in nuclear & fossil power plants, a Quality Engineer in the Aerospace Industry and now work for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on navigation and air-to-ground communication systems.
