Hello and thanks for looking up my call. Ive been a ham on and off since I was 15 or so years old. Really love meeting people from all over the world. Fun to see how my signal travels through space. I really love chatting via morse code, but have been very busy on SSB as of late. I like to work special event stations as well with DX. I am also around alittle on PSK31 from time to time. I look forward to working some contests, but really enjoy getting together with the Alexandria, MN ham club for FieldDay as often as I can. (work gets in the way some years) I can often be found on a couple morning nets on 75 meters now that I put up a very long wire. Other interests and info.I love aviation as much as ham radio. Just cant afford aviation like I want. I attend AirVenture (Oshkosh) every year. Love being around all the different aircraft and dream about flying. Lots of great people thereto share your interests. Everyone should go at least once in a life time. Ive been out recovering from back surgery 2010. Started going to ground school for something to do. It did not cause any pain in my back or legs. I was not lifting anything heavy to hurt myself. After I passed my written exam. I started crawling into the left seat of a Cessna 172SP. Ham friend WA0FJJ was my instructor. Finally after several months with delays for this and that. I took my check ride and earned my private pilots certificate. It was a major accomplishment for me. I had a tough time and almost quit a couple times. Thinking, What am I getting myself into???.LOL Glad I stuck with it. Having a blast. Now I am back to work full time. Hoping to work a bit of overtime so I can put that money towards flying. Maybe a club, a partnership, something as I would like to fly when I can. Remember the movie "The Kid" with Bruce Willis?? Towards the end of the movie he sees what he will become as an older adult. He shouts" I become a pilot" and does a shuffle with his feet and moves his hands back and forth. Thats how I am feeling since passing my check ride. Go do it if you can. Its a blast. I used to sail alot when I lived in California. I learned how to sail on San Francisco Bay back in the 70's. Moved to Redondo Beach, CA in late 80's. Joined a sailing association out of Marina Del Rey and sailed as much as I could during the 5 years I lived in Redondo Beach. I grew up in Pacifica, California. Great place to grow up as a kid. Its located about 16 miles south of San Francisco along the coast on Hwy 1. You should take Hwy 1 if you have the time to stop and take pictures. Very lovely drive. Thats it for nowill up date again another time. 73's for now Keith in Rogers, MN Last modified: 2011-05-13 20:22:37, 2853 bytes fetched
