Click for more detail... I was first licensed a technician in the 70's (WB9IRG). I was living in Chicago at the time, going to school. I got into rock n' roll for a few years and my life changed. Amateur radio was the furthest thing from my mind. I let that license expire and didn't get back in, until many years later. I work in the computer industry as a "Network Engineer". As I've gotten older, I've found time for hobbies old and new, including Amateur Radio. I now live in Kansas City. Then I took the General test and was licensed KD0EFM. After that I took the Amateur Extra test and passed. Then I decided to apply for a vanity callsign. The callsign I have now is the closest I could get to my favorite sports team, the great Chicago Bears! . . . think about it Last modified: Tue Dec 9 16:03:24 2008 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
