NI4CE is assigned to the West Central Florida Group, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) Amateur Radio organization. The NI4CE callsign is used on a multi-site, linked voice repeater system that served the Amateur Radio community on Florida's West Coast. NI4CE/r provide service to all or parts of twelve counties, including the TampaBay Metro Area, Bradenton, Sarasota, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Port Charlotte, Arcadia and Sebring.

The NI4CE system provided critical communications services for disaster operations in 2004 during and following Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Jeanne. NI4CE/r connected the Salvation Army in Tampa to their Canteens deployed in Hardee, DeSoto and Charlotte Counties. WX4TBW, located at the National Weather Service office in Ruskin, used NI4CE/r extensively to take incoming SKYWARN spotter reports and provide the latest severe weather information to the Amateur Radio community and disaster responders.

NI4CE/r is an open repeater system using a CTCSS tone of 100.0 Hz. ALL licensed Amateur Radio operators with VHF/UHF operating privileges are welcome to use the system.
