Who We Are:

NMARES members will focus on Emergency Communications,

Development of Technical Skills, and Electronics Experimentation.

The NMARES organization will provide an interesting and educational forum for self improvement.

The NMARES Organization is affiliated with CCECPSCO, know as the

Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Emmet Counties Public Service Communications Organization.

NMARES will promote Exemplary Station Operation and FCC Regulation Compliance.

NMARES is the Organization for Northern Michigan with new goals and ideas.

NMARES Simplex Net Information:

Northern Michigan Amateur Radio Emergency Services Net.

The NMARES net will meet every Thursday night at 01:00 Zulu, (8:00PM  EST or 9:00 PM EDT)with the purpose of promoting the development of skills and equipment required to complete point to point contacts using simplex frequencies.

The primary net frequency will be 146.520 MHz with a secondary frequency of 146.550 MHz.

The NMARES net will be a challenge to you.

It will test your ability to establish reliable simplex contact

with hams in and around Northern Michigan.
