I am 56 years old and have been a active ham for most of my life (43 years now) I work mainly CW and am a member

Of the CWops Club #781 ,ARRL ,Fist Club #12101 and Straight Key Century Club #6454, A1op, I have a Extra class License

That was granted while testing was still required (cw 20 wpm) I have had my current call since I upgraded in the 80's NN6T is not a

Vanity call just luck of the draw ,My novice call in the 1970 to 1972 was WN6BMT then (General-Advanced ) WB6BMT.



I also have a General radiotelephone operator license -( commercial FCC license 2nd class ) I worked in the

Telecommunications field but had to take early retirement/ disability due to a injury in my lower back and legs ,

I moved to Arizona for that reason the Dry hot wx is best for back injuries


I am married to a wonderful XYL Susan ( married 30 years now) we live on 3 acres of desert land 10 miles North of town

  1. And are in Mohave county , My current station is on HF a Yaesu FT-1000mp Mark - V Field, and driving a Ameritron
    AL-80 B amplifier (when needed ) I have 4 towers , 1st is a Rohn 25 , 50 foot tower with a Cushcraft A3S triband Yagi

    2nd is also a 50 foot tower with a Cushcraft XM240 2 element 40 meter mono band Yagi

    3rd is a crank-up tilt over Tower that I use for 1 of the supports for a full wave loop for 80 meters ,
    . 4th tower is a Rohn 45 that is only 30 feet tall


    A couple 300 ft plus Beverage rx antennas Thanks to K0RU ROB ( great cw op ) for his help with the Beverage antennas


    My current paddle is a Begali simplex ,K8RA P6 , P2 and a Logikey K-5 from Idiom Press Keyer . Ham radio has been
    One of the greatest parts of my life and I have enjoyed all the wonderful people that share my love for cw
