Click for more detail... "DUSTY" Originally licensed as KI4CWA in 2003. I got interested in amateur radio in October of 2003 after taking a storm spotter class given by our local EMA. There was a "plug" put in for amateur radio and the service it provided as an asset for the storm spotter corps. I began to read about it and it brought back memories from old neighbors that were hams in the 70s. I was bitten by the bug. I quickly studied and passed my Tech exam in early November of '03 with my first call sign KI4CWA. I upgraded to General in January '04 and upgraded again to Extra in June of '04. I am active in the local ARES organization and local repeaters as well as on most of the HF bands 80 and above working CW (be patient with me here); PSK; and SSB. I have recently attempted some satellite work handheld with HT and Arrow. Don't be confused my the name on my license. I have been known as "Dusty" my whole life so why change it now. Being relatively new, I appreciate constructive criticism, so leave me an email if you hear me being a lid. I work in the Southeastern cotton industry so HF mobile has been fun while traveling. 73 de Dusty, NR4N Last modified: Fri Dec 5 07:13:06 2008 Does this page contain inappropriate content?
