I am an original geek. My interests were in electronics and computers from my earliest years. I credit my 3rd grade school teacher with turning my interest from radio and TV toward computers. I enjoy and am interested in virtually all areas of technology.

In the past I have been a member of the IEEE/CS, Association for Computing Machinery, Civil Air Patrol, Utah VHF Society, Timpanogos Emergency Response Team and the Idaho Society of Radio Amateurs. During operation Desert Storm, I organized support rallies for our soldiers and was a founding member of Troop Boosters of America. I am currently a member of ARRL, Utah County ARES, Utah State RACES and the Utah County Sheriff's Communication Auxiliary Team (SCATeam).

I am a native of Idaho and have now lived in Utah slightly more than half of my life, but I still claim Idaho as my home.

I was (am) the youngest Journeyman Electrician ever licensed in Idaho, having completed a four-year apprentiship and passed a gruelling examination (on which I only missed 2 answers) I was issued license J-3176 just 4 months after turning eighteen. That same year I received my first Amateur Radio License, WN7SZQ. I spent the next several years honing my skill as an industrial control system specialist while expanding my education in computers and software development.

I have spent the last 30 years involved in the computer field at some level, and am currently employed with a small e-commerce company where I not only have responsibilities as a software engineer, but also fill the roles of system administrator and network manager. This while also being a partner in a new company where we are developing new technology for improving the effective use of telecommunications in business.
