I have a 56' tower at my log cabin camp near Republic Mi. we have a 2 meter repeater(147.090 +) and a remote base with 10M monitoring 29.600 FM. Repeater is solar powered only. we use 4 six volt golf cart batteries with controllers in line. I Live 30 Miles from Marquette , Mi. which is on the shore of lake superior, Grid EN66. Licensed 1994 KB8URZ, Upgraded to advanced class KG8ZL and my new call as of 8/7/12 is NZ8U. Upgraded 06/09/12 to Amateur Extra License Class. Have Been semi retired since 2005. worked 30 years for an open pit iron ore mining co in the upper peninsula of michigan.former licensed medical responder.My wife and I now own and operate a small convience store called Teall's 581 Market which you can see on facebook.
