QSL image for OE4VIE

My QTH is located in the south east part of Austria, with famous vineyards around, close to the Hungarian border. The Antennas on the aluminum tower are surrounded by a forest, with animals and birds and thank God, without any neighbors and no commercial QRM, excellent prerequisites for HAM radio.

Focus DXing and Contesting on HF & 6m, 99,9% of my operation is CW with 100 watts or QRP, meanwhile chasing for last needed DXCC entities. Other interests Photography, QRP rigs and portable operations.

Born 1966 in Germany, licensed in 1995, moved to Austria in 2002, I am married with OE4YLA, Anette. Ex calls: DF6VI, 7P8VI, 7P8AA, DL0BI/P (OP.), DL0UBI/P (OP.), LX8DL/P (OP.), OE8P (OP.), OE1A (OP.), OE50VIE, OE2008VIE, OE2013E, JW/DF6VI, LX/DF6VI, HB0/DF6VI, HA/OE4VIE, S5/OE4VIE, IN3/OE4VIE and many more. Member of RRDXA, GDXF, AMRS, OVSV and several other clubs. l am QSL Manager for 7Q7DFC, OE4YLA.

Contesting starts to be again more interesting since participating in QRP, using my KX3 with 5 watts and N1MM software. I enjoy the possibilities with QRP compared to my earlier QRO contesting.

The QSO with IR0ISS, ESA-Astronaut  Luca Parmitano from the ISS (International Space Station) in late 2013, definately represented one of the highlights in my HAM life but also the OE 6m FIRST QSOs with some rare countries and first OE-ZL 6m EME QSO with ZL3NW, worked with a single horizontal 7 ele. LFA Yagi were unforgettable.

See you further down the log, 73 Jo CWfe!
