QTH in winter.
Rigs to-day: Elecraft K3S with P3 and KPA500.
I got my favorite key directly from Alberto Frattini, I1QOD.
Antenna is Ultra-Beam from Italy. 3 elements, 17 meters high. Tilt plate homebrewed.
This antenna gave me 237 countries and WAS using QRP 5W in few years.
Homebrew Tilt Plate was inspired by NN4ZZ.
I could some telegraph when 11 yrs old.
OH5SJ was my call 1958. Here is my first homebrew station including Geloso VFO.
As OH2CD in Helsinki I made several transistorized rigs. Here is 1968 favorite:
80 meter mobile rig made together with OH1OY. A duplicated series production followed.
A TX-RX set followed in 1970 by a our team of 3 hams.
And 1971 a "sporty" QRP-rig was made. With this I learned to communicate french language.
Later, my call was OH7NB in Kuopio, and since 1989 in Lapland OH9NB.
Vue from ham-shack window to SW; Rovaniemi is wilderness town.
This is high noon before Xmas. The sun barely touche the horizont.
I was also lisenced in France, F0SB.
My work history is mainly in Broadcast Engineering.
Top interests still are: Homebrew, CW, QRP/QRPP (1 - 25mW) and french language.
CW and QRP are for gentlemen, I think.
For me, this hobby has been technical and self-educational.
God bless you !
