Hi, thank you for looking up my profile! Feel free to visit my web page as well.

About me

My ham radio career started in 2010. Czech Radio Club registered me as a SWL on 8th November 2010 under callsign OK1-36349. I was listening to everything in air including commercial radio, air traffic and amateur radio. HF bands really took my interest. Especially when propagation allowed me to hear some DX stations around the world. QSL cards I received from foreign stations really motivated me to proceed with my new hobby.

Later in 2011 I passed the HAREC exams and I am now licensed as OK1BIL since 1st May 2011.

In September 2011, I joined local ham radio club OK1OUE.

Australia 2016 - OK1BIL/VK2

From February to April 2016 I am working on company project in Sydney. I am using KX3 with Yaesu 100W amplifier, antenna is tuned wire hanging from balcony of my apartment in seventh floor.

California 2015 - W6/OK1BIL

In July 2015, I spent a month in California, visiting my relatives. I was operating QRP with my KX3 with a vertical mounted over beach. I managed to work NH6I with only 100mW SSB.

Jersey 2014 - MJ0ILB

From 21st July to 27th July 2014 I was activating the island of Jersey GJ/EU-013 with a team of OK hams. Check out our Jersey 2014 DXPedition website.

QSL direct info

Lately I decided to change a bit my policy for direct QSL cards. Every time I get QSL card direct I am happy to put it in my collection and I will respond to you direct and pay the costs for postage. However, there are lots of rare DX stations which require you to put 2$ or even 3$ in the envelope. As I am a new ham I have lots of DXCC to work! So when I go to post office and send your QSL cards for response and then a ton of my QSL card requests, I pay for the postage + the dollars in the envelopes.

EN: So you can send your QSL card direct to me with no dollars if you wish. But I would really appreciate if you put $1 or $2 which I can then send to some rare DX station.
