My name is Anton Gombar. I was born in Nov.16th 1944 in small village Brodzany placed in SW part of Slovakia.  I have studied in the Military Schools in Moravska Trebova and in Nove Mesto nad Vahom. After graduating i have become a professional soldier in the rank of lieutenant. I have served in Slovak Air Force. I was released from the Army after the invasion Soviet Red Army to Czechoslovakia in the year 1968.

I have worked in computers factory in Namestovo for 14 years. I have studied in Zilina University during the years 1977- 1983. I have gained Dipl.Ing.title there. I have returned to Slovak Air Force after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. From the year 2000 I am in retirement.

I have gained permission to transmission in 1967 as OK3CHI call.My first QTH was Moldava nad Bodvou city in East Slovakia and my first rig was ex military tcvr RM-31. Then I have trasmitted from these QTH: Kosice, Prerov,Namestovo and from Zvolen where I live in these days. I have changed my callsign to OK3CVI, OM3CVI a finally to OM7AG. I have prefered CW transmitting, always.I have worked on SW bands, mainly. I am a member of Zvolen Clubstation OM3KWZ.

My equipment now is tcvr TS-450S and simple PA with electronic tube GK-71.Output is 300 Watts.I use this PA very rarely because of TVI and BCI in our tenement. My SW antena is multiband Delta Loop.The lenghth of this aerial is 84 mttrs, 15 mttrs up the ground.

On VHF I use tcvr IC-2000 especially for Packet radio and for communication for short distances.My VHF antenna is 7 elements beam GW4CQT with rotator. It is placed on the roof.

I use PC computer AMD-K6[tm]-2/380Mhz.I am connected to the to WWW. I use UCX log. I prefer like CW.I have started RTTY in Jan.10-th 2006 with MMTTY 1.65.d program. I like contesting and collecting new DX countries on SW. I have collected 238 DX entities to this day.

Besides radioamateur activities I like hiking, gardening and marathon running. I have made 161 marathons to this day.
