Biography of ON3AD ******************* The “Radio amateurs itchiness” are already early started to start with the self-made boxes, for I believe “Tandy” or something similar. This was actually very easy for a little radio to built and other connections. Once grow out of all these “things” is it a bit crowed out to the background because the “Highlife” started to shout.

Till the (radio) microbe started to demonstrate in Germany , ( Arolsen )through receiving of disturbances (BCI and TVI) of a radio amateur. But the real HAM - radio was for me much too high and that’s why we started with the CB (Citizen Band) Funk, for what I’m not sorry, because the band has also his charms, but in the back of the head the many possibilities of the “HAM - radio”. I also did in October 1980 my first steps through my junction with the DARC (Deutsche Amateur Radio Club) under the number F01-20749, after the lay down and passing of an exam with DL2EZ the OVV (Section president). I received on 21 January 1981 my first definitive DE (Deutsche Empfänger) (German Receiving) number : DE7DWP.

But then I started with listening to the Broad Cast bands with all his well and not so exotic countries and QSL- cards and other information from that determine country and or region.

Very fascinating, because on this way I receive information which is very difficult to receive. In that time I also was a member of the ADDX e.v. an association for the broadcastings SWL’s who give magnificent listening info and information through their fourteen daily magazines “Kurier”. In 1986, I became a member of the UBA and well with the section BSD with the SWL-number: ONL04299.

And on 23 Mars 2005 I have make my licency and became the Call ON2AD and On the 01 September 2005 I have become my ON3AD Callsign.
