My name is Kurt and I live in a small town called Putte about 35 km from Brussels and 25km from Antwerp .

Like many off the ON operators who became ham here the last 15 years I started with the hobby back in 1978 on 11m .


That time I were also active on the ham bands like Swl ( Onl 09280 ) .






In 2003 there wastalking to bring the foundation license up here in the country and in 2004 first exams took place.

Half 2004 I had success with the examsfor thethe foundation license and got the call ON2KT and since than I’m able on use VHF and UHF 2005 I received the permission to use HF with a radio that can give 10w .( Icom 703,Yaesu ft817, and older type from Yaesu and Kenwood )



From that time I received the new call ON3KT and I’m active on HF bands with a old Yaesu ft757 sx ( limit version give 10w out ) ,Optibeam OB11-3 ,Optibeam OB 4-2warc ,Home made 5 band Hex beam ,cushcraft X740 for 40m 2008 I got my full license ,with special thanks on a few ON s who gave help in a difficult time .


My working conditions now Yaesu Ft 920

Home made 5 band spiderbeam about 10 m (32,8 feet)from the ground

Home made 2 element moxon for 40m about 13m(42,7 feet)from the ground

Home made 5 element for 6m about 14m (45,9 feet)from the ground

Dipool on 80m


I’m very active on HF bands with special interest for friendly contact, new country ,Iota ,lighthouse, special calls on all the different bands .

Qsl via bureau no problem Direct to : Thys kurt ,Ottershoek.1 Putte 2580 , Belgium

E- Qsl is  no problem ( but still prefer paper Qsl ) 

Qsl direct is also possible but post is very expensive.

The official price to send a card is :1.03 euro for inside Europa

1.24 euro for outside Europa


Send a enveloppe with your own adres (SAE/SASE)

and 1 DOLLAR

correctstamped IRC or $1 . Don't send stamps pls

Your qsl, send direct to me without correct stamped IRC / SAE or $1- -- > QSL via bureau .
