My mother told that since I can walk I was changing the programs on her radio. After listening as NL998 to utility and ham radio I got my license in 1975. I like DXing and contesting on HF and VHF. In the national amateur radio organisations I was SWL manager, contest manager and 10 years local club president( nol.uba.be ).

Since I am retired I help as a volunteer the organisation "Doctors without Borders" ( www.msf.org ) with their radio communication from the Brussels office as well as in the field. I made visits to Congo, Kashmir, Darfur, South Sudan, Haiti, Burundi, etc. to set up HF and VHF communication in their projects.
