Born 31.January 1937 in Oslo. Licenced 1953 as LA5HE. Has operated as LI2B on Staib North Pole Expedition 1964. JX5HE operation in 1966. Several JW5HE operations from Svalbard. Has operated from OX,VE8,FM,KH6,9Y4,VS6,BV2,VK3, all US call areas except KL7. Has made DXCC Honor Roll both as LA5HE and OZ8RO. 5BDXCC No 107.

Military service in the Royal Norwegian Signals 1956-58.

Has been council member of NRRL ( Norway) and vice president for 2 years. Participated in IARU Region I conferences in Malmo and Opatia.

Life member of ARRL. NRRL ( N), RSGB (GB), FOC 494, A1Op, HSC 197.  Past member of EDR(DK).

OZ8RO licence 1968. Relocated to Denmark 1981 and  moved back to Norway in 1999. Occassionally operate fm Denmark.
