Allan, P29CW and his XYL Josette, will be active as a spare time activity while doing volunteer aid work with Australian Doctors International from September to December 2009. For futher information look at: http://www.adi.org.au/ Operating from IOTA OC-034, the small team of two Australians and some local staff will be providing a patrol based medical service in the Middle and North Fly Districts of the Western Province of PNG. Due to the anticipated work load and the lack of power of power in the villages, P29CW is not expected to be active on the many field trips during this period of operation. The field trips will be on the Fly River by boat and on foot. Essentually we will be 2 weeks out in the field and one week back at Kiunga. The equipment will be FT-897D, AT-120, laptop PC and resonant wire dipoles. P29CW plans to be active in the 2009 Oceania Contest and the 2009 CQ WW CW and RTTY contests.
