The island of Aruba is an independent entity within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It lies off the north coast of Venezuela in the southern Caribbean and has a diverse population of about 105,000.

The P40L/P49Y station has three towers located on a 1/4 acre lot with the following Force 12 antennas:

South Tower - C31XR at 43 feet

North Tower - custom built 5 element 15 meter and 2 element 10 meter yagi on a 30 foot boom at 56 feet

Back Tower - 4 element 20 meter yagi at 68 feet, 2 element 40 meter yagi at 76 feet and 1 element 80 meter Sigma 80 at 67 feet.

There is also a 160 meter C-Dipole suspended at 67 feet from the back tower and four 500 foot beverage listening antennas (controlled by a K9AY switching box/preamp) located behind the house in the "cunucu", the name for the large common areas of undeveloped land located throughout the island.

The station is owned and operated by John Fore, W6LD/P40L and Andy Faber, AE6Y/P40Y/P49Y.

See website at http://www.arubaqth.com for additional information. P40L uploads all logs to Club Log and Logbook of the World.

( If you can't find your call in the log, send an email to Russ Miller WA3FRP  to clarify. It will be our pleasure to check and advise you accordingly.
