Hello my name is Martin Snoek and born in 1959. I am married with Gemma (PD0KLS) and we have two sons, Jelle and Mathijs.

Since 1973 i am interested in radio and started with a walkie talky" on the 11 meterband wich was illegal in the Netherlands.

After 4 years of "playing" i decided to be a Ham. I started with the callsign PD0GHP in 1977 and two years later i changed from license to PE1HPU.

A good friend of my was working by the coast gard and he learned me to handle the morsecode. A year later i got the call PA3CYQ.

At that moment it was not possible to choose your own call sign, but after a couple of years the goverment decided to change their policy and from that moment i took the callsign PA4MRS.

The last three letters are the initials of my name.

My antenna on the roof of my house in Haarlem. Haarlem lies 5 meters below sealevel so the antenna is situated only 12 meters above sealevel.
