Licensed since 1981. My former callsigns are: PD0LAN (VHF-novice), PE1HVD (VHF-UHF) and PA3EFC (full).
Since 1998 I hold the personal ("vanity") callsign PB1TT.

In 2001 we moved to Voorhout, a village in the west of the Netherlands, near the North Sea coast. In the upper right corner is the front of my QSL-card, a picture of the tulip fields near Voorhout and the Teylingen castle ruin (12th century).

In the eighties and nineties I was very active on VHF, but have given up on that, except for 50 MHz. Nowadays my signals can be found primarily on the HF-bands in SSB, CW and data modes.
Rig is the FT-920 (100 watts). Antennas on HF have mostly been small: wires and minibeams. From 2002 to 2009 I had a hexbeam for 10 and 15 meters (Traffie's HXL-1510) and since October 2009 I am using a 6-band hexagonal beam (G3TXQ design) by Leo, K4KIO (picture below).

In January 2016 DXCC Honor Roll was reached by contacting VP8SGI on South Georgia Island, my 336th entity (331 current). Present standings are Mixed 336/331, CW 319/315, Phone 311/306, Data 275/274.
I am also an avid IOTA chaser, with 757 island groups confirmed.
