D-STAR hotspot and APRS digipeater PI1KAN

'KAN' is the abbrevation of 'Knooppunt Arnhem - Nijmegen', the junction of the highways around Arnhem and Nijmegen.

Location: Nijmegen Noord (North), locator: JO21wv


- PI1KAN-B > D-STAR hotspot

Frequency: 431.0000 MHz simplex (shift: 0 KHz)

Usually connected to: x-NET DCS007 B (the Dutch national gateway for D-STAR)

This hotspot is homebrew with a Yaesu FT-7800 set, connected with a GMSK-modem (Satoshi) to a RaspberryPi (Linux Debian software) minicomputer. The antenna is a Diamond X-50 at 10 metres height.

- PI1KAN-2 > APRS digipeater

Frequency: 144.8000 MHz simplex

Base station with Kenwood TM-D710 transceiver and Diamond X-50 antenne at 10 metres height.


PERMISSION
A permit (ATOF) for 24/7 operation is issued until 22-06-2016 by the Radiocommunications Agency Netherlands.
The callsign has to be transmitted every 5 minutes.
