Born in 1946 in Sluiskil, Zeeuws Vlaanderen in the southern part of The Netherlands near the Belgian border. After high school, joined the Royal Dutch Navy and became a Wireless Operator on board Navy Ships as well as on Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Also qualified EW/Radar/Acoustics Operator. Married in 1968 to Elly and we got 2 children, a girl and boy. We are very glad to have 5 grandchildren at the moment. Retired Naval Officer on 1 jan.1999. Worked in the Ham Radio Bussines for 5 years at Schaart Communications Katwijk The Netherlands. http://www.schaart.nl/We enjoy living an easy live on Bonaire!

Picture was taken during a Hammeeting at Curacao where I received the Award for taking part in the VERONA Antillean net for 50 or more times.
The famous Jossy Cijntje PJ2MI was one of my first Ham inspirators in 1968.
