Born in 1946 in Sluiskil, Zeeuws Vlaanderen in the southern part of The Netherlands near the Belgian border. After high school, joined the Royal Dutch Navy and became a Wireless Operator on board Navy Ships as well as on Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Also qualified EW/Radar/Acoustics Operator. Married in 1968 to Elly and we got 2 children, a girl and boy. We are very glad to have 5 grandchildren at the moment. Retired Naval Officer on 1 jan.1999. Worked in the Ham Radio Bussines for 5 years at Schaart Communications Katwijk The Netherlands. http://www.schaart.nl/

Next picture was taken during a Hammeeting at Curacao where I received the Award for taking part in the Antillean net for 50 or more times.
The famous Jossy Cijntje PJ2MI was one of my first Ham inspirators in 1968.

Since may 2005 we live on the beautifull island Bonaire, one of the Dutch lesserAntilles.

My 6 band home brewed Hexbeam, replaced in Oct. 2010 by the new 5 band Tennadyne LPDA.
