Born in 1954 and ham since 1971. My first callsign was PY2FRW. With that callsign I´ve worked the world and confirmed almost 300 DXCC countries. In 2004 I´ve changed the callsign to PY2XC, shorter and easier for DX, and restarted the DXCC hunting game from the ground up. As a CW enthusiast, you will find me notedly in 10 meters band around 28020 kHz. Sometimes (but not frequenty) I venture in 10 meters SSB, RTTY, JT65 and PSK for DX, contests and, of course, learn and practice some other languages. Living in the very middle of the biggest city of the southern hemisphere (11.3 million inhabitants in the municipality and 22.8 millions inhabitants in the metropolitan area) and due to space constraints, I just have a small 4 elements 10 meter monoband quad antenna that fits perfectly in my roof´s tiny space. As expected, man-made electromagnectic noise is frequently a nightmare. My transceiver is a quite old an reliable Kenwwod TS 50 S. A Collins 30L1 amplifier helps me a lot to be heard when the occasion demands. My QSOs are uploaded to several on-line QSLing and log sites such as QRZ, LoTW and eQSL in regular basis.

If you want my regular paper QSL card (Direct or Bureau) and want to receive it the fastest and cheapest way, request it at the ClubLog OQRS at the bottom of this page.
