Hi, my name is Tom and I born and live in Sorocaba city. My city is near São Paulo, about 90 km west from the Capital of our State and biggest city of our country.

I'm amateur radio since 1994 when I was 12 years old. My first callsign was PU2MHB (class C in Brazil). In 1998 I changed my callsign to PY2XE as class B and 1999 I changed again to get my current callsign PY2YU (now as class A).

Sometimes I use my special callsign PX2W in contests. The first time that I used this was in 2000.

We have a small station located 100 km south of Sorocaba city at São Miguel Arcanjo and there we put a 2 el. yagi for 40 meters @ 18 meters up and a tribander TH7DX - 7 el. yagi for 10/15/20 meters @ 21 meters up. Now we installed also a small 10 meters monoband, 5 el. Yagi @ 14 meters up.

At home we have an Acom Log Periodic 8 elements at 16 meters up and a home made 40 meters 2 el. Yagi at 19 meters up. But we have a seriously QRM problem, every time over S-7/S-9.

Our HF equipments are: Yeasu FT-2000,Kenwood TS-850S/AT with 500Hz / 270Hz CW filters, Icom IC-706MKII, Amplifier Acom 1010, Dentron MLA-2500B, Halicrafter HT-33B and TMC PA-350.

I hope to work you all on the air / contests.

I answer QSL's via bureau and direct, but if you will send me directly, please include SASE + U$ 2. If you not include it, i'll return my QSL via bureau.
