Click for more detail... As we do not have a qsl buro in Suriname I can only qsl direct.Send qsl with SAE and two greenstamps (US$)or euro's. As of July 01, 2007 I will NOT, I repeat I will NOT accept IRC's anymore, as they are NOT accepted by the Post Office in Suriname. Cards received with IRC's will NOT be returned. Self addressed envelopes with stamps of foreign countries are of NO USE in PZ-land. Even IBRS return envelopes from Japan are NOT accepted. I do NOT e-qsl or send cards via e-mail. To make sure you're in the log you can perform a log search at http://dx.qsl.net/logs. The log is updated through November 08, 2009. I am also a collector of banknotes from foreign countries and I would appreciate it very much to receive a small bill(banknote) from you. In return I will send you one from PZ country. Thanks in advance. Ex: PE1RPT; PA3HGS; PB7RK; PZ1/PB7RK; PZ5A HAM licenses for Suriname. Since I returned to Suriname in 1999, I have been the intermediary for radio amateurs who planned to visit PZ. I was able to arrange everything, including the ham licenses through the Buro Radio Control (BRC) . About 2 years ago a new authority was announced in Suriname, the Telecommunication Authority Suriname (TAS). This new authority is now submitting the licenses and I experienced lots of problems during the past two years to get licenses fixed in time. In fact I was checking if a call sign was already submitted, trying to speed up the process. The only thing the authority should do, was submitting the license after it has been paid. (now US$ 50,= instead of US$ 15,= before the TAS was announced). Despite promises from the authority it is still very annoying and time consuming to get licenses submitted in time . Because of this I will NOT apply for new licenses for visiting hams anymore. My solution is that I will try to get one permanent license, which can be used by all visiting hams. Hams who would like to have a unique callsign will have to contact the authority by themselves. Ramon (Pz5ra)
