Thank you for visiting my QRZ page.
I was born in 1959. Began my Radio activity in 1974 in Makeevka city, Ukraine (ex USSR), on collective station UK5IAA.
In 1980 after finishing the marine college, I was offered to work in Sankt-Petersburg (Leningrad) for shipping company as radio officer.
In 1993 this position became redundant worldwide, so I was trained as a navigator. I’ve been holding this position for 15 years & now I'm a Captain.
When the democracy in Russia came to life really, I got my first call sign - RA1AIF in 2008 year,
(most known as: RA1AIF/mm - marine mobile QRP).
I'm CW fan !!! My keys: Begali "Magnetic" , "old" postal stright key,
original Soviet Army mini stright key and some home made bug or sideswiper keys.
Rigs: Elecraft K3- at home psn, Yaesu FT-817ND & Elecraft K2 - QRP, both of last two I use in my travel.

QSL policy: 100 % QSL on every new band & mode. I am sending my paper cards quarterly via the bureau. Direct QSL is not a problem.
I use eQSL as well as RA1AIF. I upload my QSOs monthly.
