The upper right photo shows my two daughters and myself on the Island of Losinj (Croatia) on July 2010.

This page is always under construction.

I am on the LoTW now !

NEWS! S57S Recorded Radar Interference on 10m band.

This is the worst QRM after many years. Who can help us to protect our bands?

Hello, my name is Aleksander and I live in small, green country named Slovenia. I have two daughters - Zala (15 years old) and Eva (8 years old). Mybeloved wife's name is Boza. We have a cat and a rabbit too. But first, let's look across my antennas. There'swhere those signals comes from:

First, my trusty 4 el. (12 years old) 28 MHz Yagi. It is home made and I amtruly happy with it. I just wish to have two of them in the stack configuration one day. Nextslide shows108 meters long EDZ (Extended Dubble Zepp antenna (2x 54m long) which is about (only) 25m up. It is made for 80m-band butit can be tuned up to all bands, thank's to 300 Ohm ladder line. It's great performeron 3.5 MHzto EU and DX but has quite sharp pattern to N/W direction which means that I can work most of N/W Europe and USA/VE with ease. I first workedNorth America also via Long Path.My EDZis just too close to the ground, but even so, it's great performer and it's realy working very very well. You won't be dissappointed if you will built one of that. For real DX on 80m, some kind of verticalprobably wouldbe better. But you need good ground for verticals. I live on the top of the hill so no good ground can be found here. On the''Magic'' band I use 5 el. YU7EF design Yagi. You can ''Google'' for YU7EFantennas yoursef if you looking for good performing antennas.

In 2011 I finaly started to buil my first 5-band antenna. I have some fibre-glass poles (4,5m long) and use them for Spider arms.

And here it is.Home-made SpiderBeam in all here beauty. (On tuning pole) (DEC 2012)

But live a Hamradio briefly. Here's my family. My wife in ''green'' and my doughters.

In September 2007 the doctors found nasty tumor on my right kidney. It shows out it was Cancer (Hipernefrom). Thank's god it was still small enougt they can cut it off so Ican keepmy right kidneyand get rid of Cancer.I hope so. No chemotherapy was neededin my case. Now,almost 3 years latter, both kidneysstillfunctioned excellent and new tumors or metastasis can't be found. Irealy hope this will be so also in next upcoming years. On each and every 6 months I still have to have ultrasoundor CT or magnetic-resonance medical exam. What you can see on this three pictures is what you will needTHE MOSTwhen something like that happened. Yes, it is called FAMILY! Don't forget that. The reason I am teling you about mydisease isthat I want to tell you this:Sometimes, finding Cancer inside you, not necessarily meansTHE END.When you realy trust that you can fight, miracles canappear and if you are luck enough tohaving loving family on side ( which you don't want to left behind), youCAN fight against this heavy''Predator'' called Cancer. I win this contest! Mostly, becauseit was fast enough thatthere was no metastasisyet, beause we have skilled and highly profesinaldoctors, but all in allbecause Iwas not give up.Thinkingabout my family24/7 help me not to become completely apathetic or even mad.

When I was finaly recover from surgery (and shock) (It takes about whole year)HAM radiocomes back to the scene and helped me MUCH not to think about Cancer and death anymore, paricularly when I was home alone.I just turn on the Kenwood TS-850 and forget to what happened to me just ''over the night'', thatdark, rainyday, back in September 2007 they informed me about Cancer. I am OK now, happy that I am still here and new antennas+ contestnig plans found their way back to my mind again.

I started new page in the book of life. That's inclouding more time spent in fresh ear, not only ham shake.

We equiped family with mountain bicicles and somehow all of them agree to gotogetherout. Here's me on next hill from my house. It takes about

1 hour sweating to reach that spot.

Slovenia is small green Diamondof Europe. We still have cristal clear lakes and a lot of forests, all kind of animals, tries, birds and butterflies. Thisfour photos was taken on Wednesday, July 14th 2010. We spent day at the lake Bohinj, one of the cleaniest lakes in Europe. You can easly see the translucenceof lake's watter. If you ever come to visit Slovenia, our two largest lakes Bohinj and Bledis ''The must''!

This is how our yellow house looks likein the winter time. The house is at 635m A.S.L. on the hill called Golisce and it is app. 20km (15miles) from Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. The white car is my new toy. It has AWD (4X4) so icy DXpedition home from the work will be more fun during snowstorm. And the cat? Eva and Zala, my daughters asked for cat for centuries. Now wegot one.Look at her! Don't you dare not tosend me QSL!

And for last,

I am also QSL manger for 9J3A. QSL for this DXpeditionsareavailable nowDirect or via Buro. Look on QRZ.COM under 9J3A for more news. If you want one of those cards, sent your QSL to me. If you don't get it back, let's say in one month (for direct) or so, send me an E-mail. Buro is slow! I will answered to your cards after and when they arrive. Because of huge amount of NO-Members around the globe, this is the most and only economicly way. Weretimes when all has to be member of national Leagues gone? Those days are gone, my frind. I tough they never end

73, and see you on the bands. I hope you like this little presentation of myselve, my family and my beautiful country Slovenia. The small treasure of Europe.

Aleksander, S57S. PS if you found any gramatic errors, you are welcome to send me corrections over E-mail. TNX.
