I got my first license in 1979 as club operator at Radio club Skofja Loka YU3DKR (now S59DKR). Later I got personal call YT3FM and changed to S57XX after Slovenia has become independent. I am also member of Radio clubs Ivan Cankar S59EIJ, Piran S59HIJ and Slovenia Contest Club SCC, S5 CW Fan group, G-QRP Club, SOTA MT Slovenia, etc.

I am mostly “radio-active” from club stations (S59DKR and S59EIJ - better antennas), SOTA Summits, S51V QTH (FB equipped 160m station during winter season) and home QTH. At the present I am mostly interested in DX hunting and activating SOTA Summits. CW is main operation mode, but you can find me on Digital modes or SSB also.

I am “Elecraft” fan using K-3 at home location with an old R-7 vertical antenna. QRP stations KX-1 and K-2 are used for my portable SOTA operations with wire vertical antenna supported by 10m fiberglass telescopic pole.

If we had QSO and you are outside of Europe, you are already fulfilling condition for “Radio club Skofja Loka Award”. If you are from Europe, you have to make another QSO with me on another band/mode or with other member of Radio club Skofja Loka and you can send request for the award. Complete award rules are here.

You can find my home radio club website here (mostly in Slovene language, but you can find some basic information in English).
