Erecting the beam for 2012 IOTA contest

I came in contact with hamradio through scouting and Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) back in 1971. Got license 1981 and have been activ on HF since 2004.

My interests are DX-ing and contesting. I often operate from Täby sändaramatörer's clubstation (SK0MT) signing 8S0C or SM0MPV/0.

SM0MPV/3 is used when I operate from our summer QTH, Yg (JP71xs), between Järvsö and Färila in Hälsingland.

I occasionally operate from Vässarö (EU-084) either with my personal call SM0MPV/5 or the Scout group's SK0HS/5. The island belongs to the Scout and Guide district of Stockholm. Before and after the camp season, i.e. mid June to mid August, school classes and other groups are visiting the island. For more information on the Island see http://ssf.scout.se/stockholm/vassaro/vassaro-in-english/

The pictures are from Blidö (EU-084) from where I often participate i the IOTA contest and work JOTA. I then use the Scout group's call SK0HS/0. During JOTA we are two operators.

This far I have used the following calls: SM0MPV, /0, /3, /5, /6, /7, /ES5 and 8S0C, /5
